Quick Guide to Gut Dysbiosis

Gut dysbiosis is a bacterial imbalance in the gut microbiota, and it should not be taken lightly. It can cause more than just digestive health issues. It has been linked to inflammation of your gut, other intestinal disorders, and celiac disease. It has also been related to disorders outside of the intestinal tract, and those disorders include allergies, asthma, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease, and obesity. (1)

HOW GUT DYSBIOSIS MAY OCCUR: (2)

-Overgrowth of the “bad” bacteria, yeast, virus, or parasite can cause an imbalance in your gut
*Medication may be given to kill the unwanted invaders or probiotics and/or
fiber-rich foods might be recommended to encourage the growth of “good”
bacteria
Undergrowth of the bacteria: rarer than overgrowth;
*Means the gut lining where the bacteria reside needs some additional
bacteria via prebiotics, probiotics, gut lining supportive supplements, and
bacteria-supportive food
Wrong balance of good bacteria and place that each of the different bacteria live;
*SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth): very common imbalance that
happens when the bacteria in your large intestine migrate to your small
intestine

There have been numerous studies that say gut dysbiosis can be the cause of so many health issues beyond just digestive issues. You should start feeding their gut everything it needs to thrive. If you do what heals your gut you will see the benefits, even if it is outside of digestive issues. Work with your physician to get back control of your gut!
